My lovely husband took me to this lovely Italian restaurant in London. It is called Da Paolo. And the nearest tube station is Goodge Street.
It is a nice restaurant in a nice street too. Charlotte Place, in fact, is like a narrow old Italian street. We opted for a three-course menu. Here is Da Paolo menu.
And here is the set menu:
For the set menu, I choose Mussels with garlic as a starter and spaghetti chicken breast as a main course. My husband choose grilled Italian sausage as a starter and lasagna as a main course.
We also have side of marinated olives and Italian breads.
The portion of the food is very generous.
For drinks, I have an orange juice and hubby chooses a glass of Montepulciano. Here is the wine list.
I really like the ambience of this restaurant. It looks like a traditional Italian family restaurant.
These are our desserts: we both choose Tiramisu!
You can also ask for a jar of tap water with ice.
There are also tables by the basement. So it quite a large restaurant, judging by the number of tables. The price is a bit pricey, but hey this is typical price of ‘Fiztrovia area’. All in all, it is a nice place to take your other half for lunch or dinner.
