Victorian mourning brooch
This is my latest antique collection which I found when I was visiting Hexham.

This is a small antique gold brooch. I found it when going antiquing at the Ashbourne House Antiques in Hexham.

The seller told me that it is most likely to be Victorian. There is no hallmark, so I am not sure about the gold carat or quality.

There is plated hair inside the brooch which indicates that this may be a mourning brooch.

The seller suggests the hair may belong to a child or an old woman.
