The Old Orchard

The Old Orchard at Harefield

Just last weekend, we went to a wonderful pub called The Old Orchard in Harefield, Uxbridge.

As with the precaution of Covid-19, we booked the pub first via its website. It is very smooth, we get in and there is a member of staff waiting at the front gate entrance. We told her that we have booked online and she ushers us to the hand sanitizer stand and then shows us the table.

We saw all member of staffs wear glass face shield. The pub is quite big and the outside space is enormous.

We were explained that they only offered table service and they only accepted card and Apple Pay. We then ordered our main course.

My husband had a crispy beef salad and I had Buttercross Farm pork and leek sausages. The sausages are delicious! There are big fat sausages so they are quite filling. I also like the mash potatoes and the spinach. The onion sauce is wonderful and creamy.

We enjoyed our lunch a lot. My husband loves his real ales. I think there were about four pumps of real ales. My husband tried three of them.

We also tried their dessert. I had a creme brulee and my husband had an ice cream and banana waffle. I expected my creme brulee to be warm, but I think it was served a little bit cold for my liking.

The Old Orchard is overlooking River Colne. It has a beautiful view from the pub.

Fantastic view from the pub. You can come near the parking to get close to the view.

You can choose to sit inside or outside, but I think outside tables are not for booking, so they are first come first serve basis.

We chose to sit inside and the usher guided us to the table near the windows. It was lovely, we could enjoy the view from the windows. We called it a pub with a view!

I am not too sure how old the pub is. Probably Edwardian?

If you are in Uxbridge or Harefield, it is worth coming to have a nice meal and enjoy the surroundings.
