This is an antique children book “The Prize”, first edition, year 1908.

The cover is original and it still has the original gilded colour. The contents I believe are poetries and children stories.

There is a small stamp “Sheila Bird” and “Kathleen Gill” probably the previous owner?

There is also small notes “Kathie with best wishes from her brother Tom, Xmas 1908”

The full name of the book is The Prize for Girls and Boys 1908.

It is published by Wells Gardner, Darton & Co Ltd, 3 Paternoster Buildings, London.

There are few colourful plates. The colour is still vividly beautiful.

The back cover of the book and the spinal is in ‘fair’ condition.
